Forever Are You in My Heart Your little life through stillbirth stolen. My eyes, from weeping, are often swollen. Tears continue streaming down my face Oh, I do not like this grieving place. Without a breath, you went away, Why, oh why, could you not stay? In deathly silence you were born In anguish now I must mourn. My aching heart feels split in two, ‘Cause my arms aren’t holding you To carry you and hold you close Is what I ache to do the most. What color would your eyes have been How beautiful, your little grin? Never will I hear you laugh or cry Instead, I had to say good bye. To the world, I’ll often speak of you Affirming that you were a person too. And though on earth, we are apart Forever are you in my heart. ~Sheila Garey
